Rare German WW1 double-etched dress bayonet with blue-colored details. Rusty nickel-plated steel hilt with faux push button. Black wooden grip plates held by two steel rivets, slightly loose. The nickel-plated short-style bayonet blade has imperial etchings on both sides. The front side bears the inscription “Erinnerung an den Weltkrieg” (“Remembrance of the World War”), featuring the Prussian eagle and the cypher of Kaiser Wilhelm II. The background of the etching was originally colored blue. The backside is similarly etched, featuring an imperial iron cross and other motifs. The blade is unmarked. The steel scabbard retains about 50% of its original black paint but shows corrosion. A rare WW1 collectible.
