WW1 Combat/Trench Knife by ERN – Wald

Beautiful WW1 combat knife in good condition. Wooden grip plates held on by three steel rivets. Black-painted steel cross guard with one hook. Clean steel blade showing cross grain. Light corrosion marks on both sides. The front of the blade is stamped “Rasiermesser – Fabrik,” and the back of the blade is stamped “ERN Wald, Rheinl” together with the imperial crown stamp. The leather buffer pad is nicely in place. The original black-painted scabbard has a good-condition stiff leather belt loop with a working “star” snap button.
