WW1 combat knife by Anton Wingen

Rare First World War trench knife made by Anton Wingen in Solingen. This knife is the pre-runner of the WW2-produced 1st model HJ knife by AW. Steel hilt with a faux push button. Wooden grip plates held on by two steel rivets. Note that the front grip plate has a crack along its full length. Some glue is visible from repairing this. The steel blade has its original full length and is very shiny, although it has many black rust spots as seen in the pictures. The backside of the blade is stamped with the Anton Wingen logo. The leather buffer pad is still attached. The steel scabbard has its original black paint. The leather belt loop is in medium condition and has a working snap button.
