Rare RAD Hewer “Full Stag” Dagger by Eickhorn

Earliest production German WW2 RAD hewer dagger made by Carl Eickhorn. It features the rare “full stag” grip, the first variation made by Eickhorn. This means the stag horn grip plates also cover the eagle’s beak on the grip. The full stag was quickly discontinued due to production difficulties, making this model very rare and desirable. As this was the first production of RAD Hewer daggers, these are always made from solid nickel silver, the early “heavy” production. The blade is marked “Arbeit adelt” and “RADJ Ges. Gesch. Carl Eickhorn Solingen,” dating it to 1934. The blade is in excellent condition with some light age spotting. The front side is etched with the “Arbeit adelt” motto. The early black anodized scabbard has intact screws and detailed nickel silver fittings. The bottom scabbard fitting has multiple dents on the hanger side. The hilt, also in excellent condition, has a beautifully aged, chip-free stag horn grip. This piece is a rare find that will be highly valued by advanced collectors.
