This is a cardboard shipping box from the Robert Klaas Factory in Solingen. It was used to ship three Hitler Youth knives, as marked on the box in ink writing. The “Absender” (shipper) is Robert Klaas, and the receiver is marked as “J. Carl Leipzig,” likely a distributor.
The original post stamp numbered 937 is still in good condition. The box is constructed in the traditional Third Reich style with folded cardboard and steel staples. The edges of the lid are ripped, but the overall condition and patina are very good. A rare and collectible item.
