Rare Eagle Head HJ Knife by Ernst Pack

Very rare first production HJ knife with eagle head hilt made by Ernst Pack & Sohn. Nickel plated steel hilt with the eagle head design on the top. Black Bakelite grip plates with the typical pack diamond shapes held on by two steel screws. Narrow HJ grip emblem in great condition that moves when touched. Early steel blade with ricasso showing corrosion on both sides and sharpening near the base on the cutting edge. The blade still retains its original typical shape. The front of the blade is etched with the HJ motto “Blut und Ehre!” and stamped on the ricasso with the “Ges. Gesch.” mark. The backside of the blade is stamped with the “E. P. & S. Solingen” makers mark on the ricasso. Textbook anodized steel scabbard with brown leather belt loop and working snap button. The leather belt loop is very soft. One of the rarest and most desirable HJ knives out there.
