NSKK Dagger by Paul Seilheimer– M7/38

Late production NSKK dagger made by Paul Seilheimer (M7/38). Brown wooden grip with nickel silver grip eagle and SA roundel perfectly inlayed. All the brown enamel is still present in the roundel. The grip has a crack in the wood on the backside near the bottom. The top cross guard is made of nickel plated zinc, the bottom one is nickel silver. They used a left-over cross guard for this dagger as production needed to go faster and less expensive. Note the bottom cross guard, although nickel silver, it is not stamped with the Gruppe mark because RZM daggers were not. The steel blade is in great condition showing cross grain on both sides. The frontside of the blade is etched with the SA/NSKK motto “Alles für Deutschland”, the backside of the blade is etched with the RZM code “M7/38” for the maker Paul Seilheimer. The steel scabbard retains its original black paint with visible “age hairs” and nickel-plated steel scabbard fittings. All four screw in place. The backside of the scabbard has a dent in the middle.
