Luftwaffe Sword by Paul Weyersberg

 1.450,00

German WW2 Luftwaffe sword made by Paul Weyersberg in Solingen. Interesting mixed material production with silver-plated aluminum pommel and cross guard and nickel silver scabbard fittings. This was likely made during the transitional period between early full nickel silver swords and the aluminum and zinc swords. Overall condition is very nice with the original blue leather on the scabbard and grip. The leather hanger is still attached to the scabbard rings. Light wear on the grip leather can be seen in the pictures. The blade is nickel-plated and very clean. The backside of the blade is etched with the Paul Weyersberg logo together with the Waffenamt “5” stamp. The blue leather buffer pad is also still attached. All four scabbard screws are still present. Total length: 94 cm Blade length: 72 cm
