Chained NSKK Navy dagger by Eickhorn

A rare chained NSKK dagger with gold gilding meant for the NSKK Navy motorboat troops. This dagger is a late Eickhorn production dating 1940 with zinc crossguards and a steel black painted scabbard. The steel chain is marked with the Assmann RZM code M5/8. Eickhorn chaines NSKK daggers dating from this period are mostly seen with this chain. All metal pieces on the dagger still have some gold gilding left but the upper scabbard fitting is still almost fully gilded. The very nice Eickhorn RZM blade has stayed in really nice untouched condition inside the scabbard. The crossgrain is still very present on the front and back of the blade.
