Rare, angled grip German WW1 combat knife made by Erst Pack. Steel hilt painted black, probably post-war paint. Black wooden grip plates held on by two steel rivets. Some glue residues present on the rivets showing these have been apart. Clean steel blade with light black corrosion spots. The tip of the blade is slightly bend. The backside of the blade is stamped with the Ernst Pack makers mark which makes this knife so rare. The steel scabbard has been repainted. The leather belt loop is intact with a working “star” symbol snap button. Although this knife has been worked on, it is a quite rare example to complete a WW1 trench knife collection.
