Transitional 1938 production HJ knife made by J.A. Henckels. Features a magnetic steel hilt with some corrosion. The HJ grip emblem is unbroken and moves left to right when touched. Full-size blade with ricasso bears the HJ motto “Blut und Ehre!” etched on the front. The backside is stamped with the “J. A. Henckels Solingen Zwillingswerk” makers mark, the “Ges. Geschützt” mark and the etched Henckels RZM code and date 1938, though they are faint. The leather buffer pad is intact. The steel scabbard retains its original black paint. The black leather belt loop is intact and has a working snap button. The backside of the belt loop is stamped with the typical leather stamp “LFS”.
