Transitional HJ Knife by Gottlieb Hammesfahr

Transitional production HJ knife made by Gottlieb Hammesfahr. Steel magnetic hilt. Black Bakelite grip plates held on by two rivets. Large size HJ grip emblem in great condition. No cracks in the enamel. The emblem moves when touched. Transitional-style blade with ricasso. No motto on the front side. The ricasso is etched with the RZM logo and “M7/67/38,” meaning this knife was made in 1938. The backside of the blade is stamped with the Gottlieb Hammesfahr Solingen Foche logo and “Ges. Gesch.” The leather buffer pad is tightly in place. The steel scabbard has its original black paint and a black leather belt loop with a working snap button.
