Transitional HJ knife by Carl Heidelberg with Motto

Transitional period production HJ knife made by Carl Heidelberg. High quality steel production hilt with visible corrosion. Black bakelite grip plates held on by two steel rivets. HJ grip emblem nicely inlayed and no cracks in the enamel. The emblem does not move when touched. Steel blade etched on the frontside with the HJ motto “Blut und Ehre!”. The backside is tamped with the Carl Heidelberg “milk bottles” makers mark and the Heidelberg RZM code M7/65. The blade has visible corrosion. The leather buffer pad is still in place. Original black paint on the steel scabbard. Brown leather belt loop with working snap button. The knife and the scabbard have about a 1mm gap when closed.
