Transitional HJ knife by Anton Wingen – M7/51

Transitional period production HJ fahrtenmesser made by Anton Wingen in Solingen. Nickel plated magnetic steel hilt. Black bakelite grip plates held on by two aluminum rivets. Intact grip emblem with no cracks in the enamel. The emblem does not move when touched. Steel blade showing light cleaning and sharpening marks. This model did not have a motto on the blade. The frontside of the blade is stamped on the ricasso with the Anton Wingen makers mark. The backside of the blade is stamped on the ricasso with the RZM code M7/51 and the date of production 1939. The black leather buffer pad is still tightly in place around the blade. The steel scabbard has 99% of its original black paint left with some rust. The inside of the scabbard has two scabbard runners, lined with cloth. The stiff black leather belt loop and snap button are intact.
