Rare Steel Cross Guards NSKK Dagger David Malsch – M7/70

A rare RZM production M7/70 NSKK dagger with magnetic steel cross guards, made by David Malsch, Steinbach (M7/70), typically larger than the standard nickel-plated zinc versions, resulting in a thicker grip. The aluminum grip eagle shows light damage on the bottom of the cross. The steel scabbard retains its original black paint with visible “age hairs” and nickel-plated steel scabbard fittings. The steel blade has a lightly etched motto and RZM mark, characteristic of this maker. The blade is in very good condition and retains its factory cross-grain. The dagger comes with a black colored brown leather hanger, RZM marked on the leather on the inside. Steel clip stamped on the backside “RZM M5/71 oLc”. A true collector’s piece.
