Rare Imperial Lion Head Hunting Dagger by J.A. Henckels

Rare early short deluxe nickel silver production hunting dagger made by J.A. Henckels. Beautiful lion head pommel with very sharp details. Triple-etched steel blade featuring hunting motifs. The front side of the blade is stamped with the early J.A. Henckels Solingen logo. The blade shows sharpening on the cutting edge. The red felt buffer pad is in place. The black leather scabbard has metal scabbard fittings with broken staples on the backside. The dagger has been covered with a brown varnish. The skinning knife is present and also typical Henckels with a double-etched blade and the same acorn on the stag horn grip plate as on the dagger’s grip. A rare and deluxe dagger.
