German WW2 Police officers sword made by Robert Klaas. Nickel plated steel hilt. Black wooden grip with all the aluminum wire still in place. Some chipping on the backside of the grip. The steel plate on the backside of the grip sits loose together with the bottom grip piece. The blade is in decent conditon with light corrosion and scratch marks. The backside of the blade is stamped with the Robert Klaas makers mark. The hilt is stamped on the bottom with the typical “SS” runes inside a square. The blade is slightly bend. The steel scabbard retains most of its original black paint but is also partially repainted. It has nickel plated steel scabbard fittings. All four screws are in place but the bottom two screws are replacements. The scabbard has a typical “door dent” in the middle. The lip of the scabbard is also “SS” stamped. The total length of the sword is 98cm.
