Late steel production M36 chained SS dagger. Black wooden grip with nickel silver grip eagle and SS roundel with black enamel. Nickel silver cross guards. The fitting to the grip is not great as we see with a lot of late war produced SS daggers. Very clean steel SS blade etched on the frontside with the SS motto “Meine Ehre heist Treue” and unmarked on the backside as it should be for a M36. Steel black anodized scabbard with nickel plated steel fittings and chain. All six scabbard screws are in place. The backside of the chain is SS stamped. The clip is DRGM stamped under the wodan knot. The fitting between the bottom cross guard and scabbard is also not perfect. A rare sought after piece.
