M33 SS Dagger by Gottlieb Hammesfahr

M33 early production SS dagger made by Gottlieb Hammesfahr. Nickel silver cross guards. Bottom one is stamped with the roman number “III”. Black wooden grip with nickel silver grip eagle and SS roundel. The grip has some wood chipping at the top and the SS roundel is inlayed at a 70° angle. Clean steel blade showing cross grain and light corrosion spots. The frontside of the blade is etched with the SS motto “Meine Ehre heist Treue”. The backside of the blade is etched with the Gottlieb Hammesfahr Solingen-Foche logo. Black anodized steel scabbard with nickel silver scabbard fittings. All four screws are in place. The bottom fitting is split on one side near the bottom. A very nice decent condition SS dagger.
