Luftwaffe Observer Badge (Beobachterabzeichen). This is a beautiful early Buntmetall example. The badge is clearly maker-marked on the reverse with the “A” logo of the manufacturer Assmann of Lüdenscheid. Complete with the original matching blue case marked on the lid with “Luftwaffen- Beobachter- Abzeichen”.
