Transitional 1938 production HJ knife by Robert Klaas. Features a magnetic steel hilt and a flawless HJ grip emblem that moves up and down when touched. The steel blade, etched with the HJ motto “Blut und Ehre!” on the front, also has the Klaas RZM code and date stamped on the ricasso. The backside bears the Klaas maker’s mark. The blade has been sharpened and has lost some of its original shape. The steel scabbard retains its original black paint. The black leather hanger is in good condition with a working snap button. However, one rivet on the scabbard is broken, causing the hanger to spin around as seen in the pictures.
