French “dague d’estaing” Folding Knife “Le Louis D’or”

Antique high-quality French-made large folding knife with scabbard. Staghorn grip plates held on by nickel rivets. Working locking mechanism when closed and open. Long steel blade stamped with the makers mark “Le Louis D’or” and the marking “Modele Depose”. Leather scabbard with nickel tip held on with a staple on the backside. Note the attention to detail, how the scabbard tip has been made almost flush with the leather.
