Etched Feuerwehr Dress bayonet by Eickhorn

Very rare WW2 fire brigade dress bayonet with an etched blade made by Carl Eickhorn. Typical Eickhorn etch panel with floral borders. The etched text on the blade reads “Ihrem ehren kommandanten die dankbare feuerwehr Leipzig 1942” translating to “To their honored commander, the grateful Leipzig Fire Brigade 1942”. The backside of the nickel plated steel blade is stamped with the Carl Eickhorn logo. The leather buffer pad is in place. The nickel plated zinc hilt is in decent condition with both black Bakelite grip plates in place held on by two steel rivets. The steel scabbard has its original black paint still intact. The bayonet is complete with a black leather frog in good condition and a rare pink and silver feuerwehr portepee.
