Etched Dress Bayonet by E. Pack

German WW2 dress bayonet with etched blade made by Ernst Pack & Söhne. Overall fantastic condition. The blade has the textbook Pack pattern nr. 1: “neutral”. It is a quite rare etch pattern. The bayonet is the short model with a total length of 34,5cm. It has a nickel plated zinc hilt, black bakelite grip plates held on by the textbook off center Pack grip screws. The green felt insert is in place. The clean nickel plated steel blade has the etch panel on the front, with some kind of etch or corrosion damage on the ricasso. The backside is etched on the ricasso with the E. Pack maker’s mark. The tip of the backside of the blade also has some light corrosion damage. The leather buffer pad is in place. The original black painted steel scabbard is in fantastic condition.
