An early production M33 SS dagger made by Carl Eickhorn, Ex-Röhm. It features nickel silver crossguards, with the bottom crossguard stamped with the Roman numeral “I” and the soldier’s number. The black wooden grip is in good condition, with a nickel silver grip eagle perfectly inlaid. The SS roundel is intact with no cracks. The steel blade is very clean, showing cross grain on the front side. The front side is etched with the SS motto, “Meine Ehre heißt Treue.” A small nick is visible on the cutting edge of the blade beneath the “M,” but only from the front side. The reverse side of the blade bears the small double oval Eickhorn logo and shows signs of the removed Ernst Röhm inscription, identifying it as an Ex-Röhm dagger. The anodized steel scabbard has nickel silver fittings with all four screws in place, and some original factory lacquer is still visible on the anodized steel. This is a hard-to-find piece in this condition.
