An early production SA dagger by the rare maker Herder & Sohn with the “Diogenes Lamp Lighter” trademark (9/10 on McSarr’s rarity listing). Nickel silver construction, gruppe-marked “Nm” on the back of the bottom cross guard.
The brown wooden grip shows deformation over time, causing an imperfect fit to the cross guards. The scabbard is lightly rusted, with all four screws intact. The blade is near mint, with the “Alles für Deutschland” motto nicely etched and retaining some original blacking.
