Early SA Dagger by H. Herder – “Spades”

Early production nickel silver SA dagger made by H. Herder. Nickel silver crossguards with good fitting to the brown wooden grip. Nickel silver grip eagle and SA roundel, with most of the brown enamel missing. Some chips in the wood near the bottom front. The bottom crossguard is Gau marked “He.” Clean steel blade showing cross-grain on both sides. The front of the blade is etched with the SA motto “Alles Für Deutschland.” The back of the blade is etched with the H. Herder spades logo—an especially desirable maker. Brown anodized steel scabbard with most of the original factory varnish present. A small dent on the front of the scabbard is visible in the pictures. Nickel silver scabbard fittings with all four screws in place. The tip of the scabbard is dented, as is common with SA daggers.
