German WW2 etched dress bayonet made by Ernst Pack. Nickel-plated zinc hilt, black Bakelite grip plates held on by the typical Pack off-center grip screws. Textbook Pack-etched steel blade featuring an infantry soldier and the text “Für Erinnerung an meine Dienstzeit” (meaning “In remembrance of my time in service”).
The backside of the blade is stamped with the early Ernst Pack logo on the ricasso and etched with “Inf. Regt. 71 mot.” meaning Motorized Infantry Regiment 71. The black leather buffer pad is loosely in place. The steel scabbard retains its original black paint.
