Beautiful early production heavy solid brass Army sabre made by WMW, engraved with a monogram on the spine of the hilt reading “KS”. I bought this sabre straight from the woodwork and they told me the soldiers name was “Kurt Schneider”. Quite a rare model sabre with a double lion head and highly detailed eagle. There is some green corrosion on the hilt against the grip. The original grip wiring is in fantastic condition. The steel blade is nickel plated and in mint condition. The backside of the blade is stamped with the WMW logo. The leather buffer pad is in place. The steel scabbard has its original black paint still present. There is some corrosion on the scabbard tip. Both scabbard screws are in place and untouched.
