Great condition etched dress bayonet made by Puma. Nickel plated zinc hilt with black Bakelite grip plates held on by two steel rivets. The red felt insert remains in place in the bayonet slot. Clean nickel plated steel blade, etched on the backside with the textbook Puma Army etch panel featuring a Heereagle and a German helmet together with the inscription “Für Erinnerung an meine Dienstzeit” (“For remembrance of my service time”). Note the small “Ges. Gesch.” on the bottom of the etch panel. The backside of the blade is also stamped with the Puma Solingen logo. The leather buffer pad is in place. The steel scabbard appears to be repainted black.
