Near-mint original German WW2 etched K98 parade dress bayonet made by Carl Eickhorn. The bayonet features a clean nickel-plated zinc hilt with black Bakelite grip plates attached by two steel rivets. The red felt insert remains in place in the bayonet slot. The mint nickel-plated steel blade has the typical Eickhorn Heer etching on the front, featuring two Heereagles and the inscription Für Erinnerung an meine Dienstzeit (“For remembrance of my service time”). The back of the blade is stamped with the Eickhorn logo. The leather buffer pad is intact. The scabbard retains its original black paint in fantastic condition. Attached to the scabbard is a black leather frog and a green and silver bayonet portepee.
